OpenAtv 6.1 seems to work with the most plugins... except for the blindscan of course and they are working on that.. The signal meter has a little delay other then that everything is great.

Would have, but it's about 4 hours too late.  [smile]  As I posted in another thread, about 4 hours ago, I went through exactly the same thing.  I almost tried to pull the front off the receiver thinking that it might be underneath the front in a hidden area.  I think one thing that contributed to my problem was that when I was looking for the button, the power was switched off, so the power light wasn't lit up. Only when I looked at the little manual sheet, and saw where it was supposed to be, I looked closer and could see it.  Anyway, you're not alone on that issue.

I think Hockeynut is right! I replaced OpenATV with Open8Eight and it is so nice to use. The wizard starts up after it is loaded and lets you walk thru the setup.

The online update seems to only update 5.3, is that Octagon's latest image of OpenATV?

5.3 is what came on my Octagon. I had some problems with the 5.3 missing some menu items that other people were referring to, so I upgraded.  There were links in one of the recent threads for versions 6.0 and 6.1, as well as the Openeight.  I think that I upgraded to 6.1.

I totally screwed my satellites.xml file by loading the OpenATV 5.3 satellite plugin.  Rather than trying to fix it, I just decided to try OpenEight.  Just waiting for my 127 C-Band scan to finish.

Fellow Members, your posts are welcome here! Do not worry about posting everything perfect. Different receivers and LNB's will give you different Frequencies and Symbol Rates. Some set top boxes, PCI cards and USB receivers, Do Not Require all of the same information that others may need. It is not Required to post everything that others may need to tune in a feed. It is just most important to share the find. We can always adjust the Frequency and Symbol Rates and try the various Modulations and FEC's on our own receivers until we get a lock and then give a polite reply with what works for your receiver, as that information might help others as well. We all appreciate the efforts and energy of the Posters!
