My AZ has problems with high Bit rate Muxes. I guess there is no cure?
So does anyone know of the best solution for High BR?

I guess I could use a Card in a PC under windows. That would be the cheapest solution but awkward I guess since I would need to interface with the PC.

Does anyone make another set top box that doesn't have the problems of my AZ?

Where can I read about people using PC's and software to see the QAM BPSK 8PSK or whatever "constellation" etc.

SES 2 at 87W

4000 H 29122
4120 H 29K
4140 H 29K

4044 Radio Mux is just fine

Also interesting that a power scan brought up only H polarization

Oh and my Firmware says: 0.9.5308
the mux at 4000 (like the others) goes from zero spikes to 85% Qual (exactly) and back to zero everytime when good is 85%. Like something is gating the signal off/on. it is zero longer than 85% it just spikes to 85% So if watching a channel you get practically nothing.

I know the problem occurs on high bit rates but I do not believe that (alone) is the problem. No facts just a hunch or wishful thinking?

I am using Ricks Dish Mover on the 7.5' dia dish with one of those coaxial C/Ku coaxial horns where the Ku waveguide sits behind the C waveguide. I stopped using the Ku part of this LNBF and do not have the Ku coax connected to anything it is a 4' unterminated coax at the dish

Would sure appreciate some help with this.

The SES-2C mux at 4000 H SR 29125 is RTVs and the older AZBOX's had an issue playing them.  The other 2 mux's your referring to are older RTV Muxes I believe and aren't used anymore.  The 4000 H SR 29125 isn't a high bit rate mux at all.  None of the AZBOX's has an issue playing any high bit rate feeds at all I have seen.  It may just be a matter of not having enough signal on a 7.5 ft dish.

The new Linkbox 9000i Local HD plays the RTV channels great and every high bit rate feed I have seen.  It plays satellite, ATSC OTA, and IPTV very nicely.  It will also play DVB-S2 8PSK, 16 APSK for sure.  The specs state it will do 32 APSK but haven't found a feed to test that on.

So are you saying that I will likely only see this on the RTV mux? I have a TON of signal at 4044 I used that one to peak the sat. And again when it does bounce up it ALWAYS says 85% exactly

The 4044 H 4710 radio channel is DVB-S and is much easier to get than DVB-S2 with a smaller dish.  DVB-S2 8PSK needs more signal with DVB-S2 16APSK and 32APSK even more.

The RTV mux (DVB-S2 8PSK) is pretty strong but the older AZBOX's have an issue with playing the video smoothly on those channels in that mux.  All other DVB-S2 8PSK muxes play great and its just something with RTV on the older AZBOX's.

You should be using the RTV mux to peak that satellite as DVB-S2 8PSK requires more signal.

Ahh ok I see...This thread is a bit confusing because in ur sig KOSMO you have a AZ Premium Plus but posted the issue in the Elite and Premium thread.

The RTV mux`s are not Hi Bitrate so I was confused in thinking it was particular feeds you were talking about....Altho those mux`s will not play on blindscanning AZ`s...Premium Plus or Ultra they will play on the non blindscanning Elite and Premium units...There is a thread about this somewhere here at Ricks.

If these RTV mux`s are important to ya I would follow Emil`s advice and pick up a new linkbox from Rick.Sure does look like a nice unit or build ur own puter with a new sat card from Rick..Myself if I were in the market to upgrade I would go with the later as it opens many more windows than a STB.

Fellow Members, your posts are welcome here! Do not worry about posting everything perfect. Different receivers and LNB's will give you different Frequencies and Symbol Rates. Some set top boxes, PCI cards and USB receivers, Do Not Require all of the same information that others may need. It is not Required to post everything that others may need to tune in a feed. It is just most important to share the find. We can always adjust the Frequency and Symbol Rates and try the various Modulations and FEC's on our own receivers until we get a lock and then give a polite reply with what works for your receiver, as that information might help others as well.
