yes, as you found out, FTA takes some work and is not for lazy channel flippers.
It is a hobby, much like short wave radio is / used to be..
can be fun, rewarding and frustrating all at the same time.

Good luck with your new pizza dish equipment.

LOL.  Many of you will remember me saying this before...

I knew I married the right gal when she looked at a 10' dish we were thinking about getting and instead of saying, "Why do you need a dish that Big", she said, "Are you sure that dish is Big enough?!"

Scorpion60,

I am sorry for some of the remarks.  I am going to do some more editing.  We all have different wants and desires when it comes to TV and Radio Viewing and Listening.  As many have stated, it can be challenging to say the least.

I also mentioned that we, like many others here, have the little dish or cable as well as our hobby dishes.

Thanks and Enjoy Life!  It's Another Great Day to Be Alive!

Rick is right, here we have the fta dishes for me to fool with and also have the DxxxNxx for the wife to keep her happy. Heck I even put in the DN dish and own all of our equipment. I am sure you learned a lot while doing fta and may even want to try again in the future. At least you may be able to help someone with the things that you learned here. Good luck.

Look i was upset scorp because of all the dishes you took down. My mom was the same way when it came to those paytv channels. She relized after seeing 100 bucks coming back into to the home it changed her mind. I am sorry for insult i was upset. Most people that i run into cant figure why i work on these dishes. I tell them compared to Compress vision by paytv my channels are a lot better.

I have been wanting my own home so i can work on my dish farm. I have been stuck with 1 dish and 8 lnbs. Just be careful when they jack up your bill. They did it to me 7 years directv did i said i was done with paytv.

Thanks for giving me some credit,  but my contribution is just a drop in the bucket compared what Mike and the others do.

Oh boy!  So she said it's either me or C/Ku TV.  You must have found some of the naughty stations!

I can agree with the jacking up !  They did it to me to the tune of $394!
They failed to remove those "Free" channels they add from time to time and those combined with an already too high a bill to begin with just wiped out my funding for this month!  But it won't happen again That I can guarantee [mad]

Makes me mad thinking of the extra receivers and actuators I need that this knocked me out of [frown]
Live and learn I reckon and I learned a valuable lesson!

Fellow Members, your posts are welcome here! Do not worry about posting everything perfect. Different receivers and LNB's will give you different Frequencies and Symbol Rates. Some set top boxes, PCI cards and USB receivers, Do Not Require all of the same information that others may need. It is not Required to post everything that others may need to tune in a feed. It is just most important to share the find. We can always adjust the Frequency and Symbol Rates and try the various Modulations and FEC's on our own receivers until we get a lock and then give a polite reply with what works for your receiver, as that information might help others as well. We all appreciate the efforts and energy of the Posters!
