I wonder, has anyone ever tried making a manual PID channel that doesn't include that Dolby-E audio PID, but perhaps just a fake audio PID?  Should be able to just edit the channel that scanned in, and change or remove the audio PID.  May not work, but it seems to be worth a try.

Just tinkering around and decided to give this a shot with tonights Bball game on G19 for the Dolby E backhaul and no luck changing audio pids and this is with 5308 in Elite. So I decided to go back to 2371 and she is playing the feed nice and smooth...I am reminded when going back this far how newer fw is better for the most part except for playing Dolby E feeds smoothtly.

I wonder at what fw did the stuttering occur?

I have an Ultra which is running the version of firmware that calls itself 0.9.5308 but that I believe is actually 0.9.5311.  Now, three questions if you please:

1.  DolbyE.  Is the stuttering I see in eScapesTV (99W G16 3785 H 4849) an example of the DolbyE stuttering you're all talking about?  [The 4:2:2 CBS feeds (89W G28 4060 H 29860) are working fine for me with the 5311 bin on my Ultra.]

2.  2371 and Ultra.  Could I "revert" my Ultra back to the 2371 firmware?  I saw some discussion in another thread which seemed to advise not loading 2371 on newer receivers -- would I be stupid to try it?

3.  Saving Satellite and Channel Lists.  Finally, if I could try 2371 on my Ultra without doing any harm, would it be possible to backup and restore my satellite & channel list to the older version and if so how?

Thank you for your answers.  I hope I haven't wandered too far off topic.

I would recommend staying away from any fw that came out before the Ultra and Premium Plus were released..This is an AZUltra thread and the op started out with so.I have an Ultra,Premium Plus and Elite and did not give a lot of thought to this as I would not put this old of fw in a newer blindscanning box..wm mentioned he was using a Ultra..Apologize for my oversight..

Perhaps someone can step in and inform the 1st fw that came out for the Ultra and Premium Plus when released.I do believe 2880 was when this started happening with Dolby E feeds but not sure when that falls in line with the release of the blindscanners?

Fellow Members, your posts are welcome here! Do not worry about posting everything perfect. Different receivers and LNB's will give you different Frequencies and Symbol Rates. Some set top boxes, PCI cards and USB receivers, Do Not Require all of the same information that others may need. It is not Required to post everything that others may need to tune in a feed. It is just most important to share the find. We can always adjust the Frequency and Symbol Rates and try the various Modulations and FEC's on our own receivers until we get a lock and then give a polite reply with what works for your receiver, as that information might help others as well. We all appreciate the efforts and energy of the Posters!
