There are several different versions of EBSPro and the above examples are older versions. The current 16.0.0.1 version at the near upper left screen view has a   File  Tools  Help   line and then below that is another line of command choices. Among them are two windows which the left one should show up that EBSPro has found and accepted you connected tuner device and then farther to the right is a window where it shows what sat title you have saved. If I depower my 5925 of course it shows up a "not there" in that first window. As in if I start EBSPro with no power applied to the 5925 this window shows  ERROR_LISTING_DEVICES. I must first apply power to the tuner and "then" start EBSPro for the program to work correctly. The earlier versions do not all have this same display view and of course have slightly different set up methods in the viewing display. Remember you need to select a sat title and "save" it before doing a scan of a sat. I get lazy and just use the sat saved title for all my scans just to save on setup time. This example is still not the latest version of EBSPro.

Up in message 10 , I described how I struggled with the Prof for hours, before I switched over to the TBS-6983, which worked fine.  Just to make sure, I tried it again this morning, and pretty much had the same result, except for one brief moment.
In my experiment, I had my TBS6983 connected to the passthru of the Prof7500 via a DC block, so that I could verify that the LNBF was getting power.
In my experiments, I basically saw no signal, regardless of doing an RF scan or signal discover, and during the scans, I was seeing a strong signal on the 6983.
I tried with hardware control on and off, and with BLSCAN mode and BLSCAN2 mode on and off.
Then, I connected the coax from the LNBF over to the 6983, and switched EBSP over to use the 6983, and everything worked fine.
The "one brief moment" when it worked, was when I switched the coax back to the PROF, and tried using EBSP on the PROF again.  On the first RF scan I tried, it worked with the PROF, but on the second scan I tried (I may have changed some setting, like switching polarities, but not sure), it was back to getting no signal, while again, the 6983 at the passthru showed that a strong signal was there.
This is very confusing.  I am definitely a newbie to EBSP, so it very well could be some user error, however it sure looks to me like EBSP is at least turning on LNB power, however for some strange reason, it cannot read the signal from the PROF, while without changing any other settings, switching over to the 6983 works fine.  I'm guessing that the one brief moment of success was due to EBSP still thinking that it was connected to the 6983 until after the first scan.
Oh, and one other thing, I have been using this PROF7500 with Crazycat's patched drivers since I first started using it several years ago. It works with Crazyscan, TSREADER, and SmartDVB, however for some reason, I just tried transedit, and it seems to be similar to EBSP in that it works with the 6983, but not the PROF, even though I have used it with the PROF in the past.
I'm starting to wonder if it might have something to do with which USB port I have the PROF plugged into?  I'm also wondering if perhaps there are different versions of the patched drivers? I have been a bit reluctant to try patched drivers coming from anyone except Crazycat, and I don't think I've seen any updates in the patched drivers since I installed the one I'm using.

Anyway, I'm confused relative to why EBSP and Transedit don't seem to like my PROF7500 while TSREADER, Crazyscan, and SmartDVB don't have a problem with it.

Grand brother,

You're right. I also had similar problems too.

When I activated it on the desktop PC, I started using Prof 7301.

So, I put the Prof 7500 in the warehouse.

So, patched drivers and stuff like that.

I was tired of old cards right now and ordered a TBS5520se card.

Regards.

Hello,

For Prof7500 you need to mark FastTune option (File -> Options -> Device -> FastTune) and then restart EBSpro. If the device enters in an unstable status, you may need to restart device/computer and then try again.

Regards.

About the Android App / iOS app, here's a quick how-to:

1- Download it in your smartphone browsing from it to this url: http://ebspro.net/download/ then go press the Download button for the Android/iOS version and install it.
2- Go to your computer, and run EBSpro (with EBSpro mobile server enabled).
3- Open the Android/ios app and set the IP and Port you can see in EBSpro for Windows (Options -> EBSpro Mobile). IMPORTANT: You should have connected to the same network of EBSpro for Windows!.
4- Now, if all goes well, you can control almost everything from your smartphone (tune, move dish, scan channels, snr, streaming channels, etc).

You can also use it over a data connection / internet, but you need to open a port and set your public IP instead of the private.

Hope this help.

P.S: If in the list of transponders of EBSpro Mobile doesn't appear any, is because you need to fill it using the EBSpro for Windows and adding some transponders to the Favorite list!!! EBSpro mobile use that list!

Regards.

Hi @Cjcr,

Is it possible to increase the number of supported hardware?

Especially DVB-T2 devices.

Geniatech DVB-T2 USB stick ( T230 driver )

T220, T330 etc.

Thanks. Making some progress.
About an hour or so ago, I actually came across that FastTune setting, and tried that.  It seemed to help a bit in that I was able to get it to work more often, but it still went into an error state after one run, ie looking at the log, it was saying that streamreader was returning an incorrect IF value or something.
But then I read your message, and I tried re-starting IBSP, and that seemed to fix things. Now the RF scan seems to work fine, and I don't get the errors in the log anymore.  However, then I tried to do a blind scan, which at first was going incredibly slow, however I fiddled with the settings a bit, and I finally got that working.
Anyway, thanks, I think most it's working on everything I've tried now.

just wanted to drop a note of thanks!  I downloaded EBSpro, set up a profile as seen in a youtube setup video, did a scan with my prof7500 and it looked like an RF scan on drugs (humps and lines and weirdness everywhere).   Using crazyscan program to check, rf scan was as I expected so I know it wasn't my LNB being weird.

I decided to take a moment to read this thread before posting my issue, saw this note, did it and the rf scan works properly now.

what are the tuning steps of "alpha", "beta", "gamma", "delta", and "epsilon"?   They are found after the tuning steps ranging from 1 mhz to 10 mhz.

I'm hoping one of those might be every .1 to .5 of a mhz so I can try to lock low SR signals in the blind scan tab.

Thanks master.

I'm benefited now. A particularly useful application, especially for precise antenna adjustment.

Best regards.

Hi @crazycat,

Is there "DVB Meter" that works without a PC ?

Non-internet location, for antenna tuning and signal level.

So, can work on direct android. For T230. ( Geniatech DVB-T2 USB stick )

Thanks.

Hello,
Can someone upload EBSpro data folder?
Or just data.db file
I'm looking for Hotbird and Nilesat database.
It's located in C:\Users\(user name)\AppData\Roaming\EBSpro
Thx.

Let me repeat my request once again and make it more easier to understand [smile]

Please check the attached screenshot,
I got 92 transponders only on Hotbird 13.0E
I want to align the dish using the mobile app,
I noticed that i was not able to receive some transponders,
For ex. 11054 H
If you got more than 92 transponders and 11054 H is one of them then please upload your database,
Thanks

Fellow Members, your posts are welcome here! Do not worry about posting everything perfect. Different receivers and LNB's will give you different Frequencies and Symbol Rates. Some set top boxes, PCI cards and USB receivers, Do Not Require all of the same information that others may need. It is not Required to post everything that others may need to tune in a feed. It is just most important to share the find. We can always adjust the Frequency and Symbol Rates and try the various Modulations and FEC's on our own receivers until we get a lock and then give a polite reply with what works for your receiver, as that information might help others as well.
