Merkin,

My bad.........  Yes the DSR-6000 can do MPTS.  It can pass an entire transponder, but can only decrypt a maximum of 4 services.  I was thinking of a different model.  Being an MPEG-2 only unit I hadn't used one in a while.  I had to go dig one out of my stash to take a peek. [rofl]

The unit should be running an apache backend and hosting a web server for making remote changes to the DSR.  The FE port can be configured in the IP menu.  All Moto / Arris units that I have configured have had that ability.  I know from past experience that many of them do not play well with DHCP, so I set all of them up statically.  The username from the factory is USER / PASSWORD (ALL CAPS).

Hope that helps..........

Not sure what you downloaded! If you got the download for windows from the official site (https://get.videolan.org/vlc/2.2.6/win32/vlc-2.2.6-win32.exe) the downloaded file should be labeled: vlc-2.2.6-win32.exe

I hope you did not just copy two files from someone's computer. That will not work. You need the full program.

Based upon the files you listed, I'm not sure you downloaded the program correctly.  The download should be around 28MB, and should be an installer file.  Have you actually installed the program and can open it?

This is what should have come up when you clicked the link I provided:

All you have to do is click the "Download VLC" link and run the installer file that is downloaded to your laptop.  Once you have it installed, it should place a shortcut on your desktop with the little orange / white cone.  Just double click the cone to open the program.

Once the program is open, select "Media > Open Network Stream" from the top menu.

Then in the network URL type: udp://@239.100.100.100:8000 and press enter.

Final step:  Enjoy your HDTV [biggrin]

Does the laptop have an HDMI connector? If it does, all you have to do is connect it with a cable to the TV.

Glad to hear it's working for you.  Happy to help! [thumb]

I work with most models of DC2 commercial DSRs on a daily basis, so feel free to ask if you ever have questions.

Ryan, it is thumbs up on this one! I know you helped me on this. I learned a lot this past week. Did you note who has not come back to talk? He is just eating up the joy as he watches what is coming across the GIG-E port.
Roger

Edit: I guess I was wrong. He came off the clouds.

It is just most important to share the find. We can always adjust the Frequency and Symbol Rates and try the various Modulations and FEC's on our own receivers until we get a lock and then give a polite reply with what works for your receiver, as that information might help others as well.
