Would I expect these signals to be DVB-S2 modulation?  Are they 4:2:0?  That is, can they be received with a standard FTA rcvr?  Or do I need special HW?

Thanks

Modulation is DVB-S 4:2:0...receivable with any regular FTA receiver.

My Mercury 2 shows symbol rate as slightly different from posted rates...

for instance   3.9787 Ms/s shows as 3984 on my receiver. So say I set up some of the transponders that you have shown in the PDF files....obviously I will set 3984 instead of 3.9787 since I know what THAT one is....but do you think I could put in 3.9787 if I wanted to????

And would it lock if I did a transponder scan??? (and it was of course active)

My goal is to download these transponders in memeory and avoid the long process of doing a power scan and then a transponder scan. (just a transponder scan only) Many of these SNG trucks come and go quickly.

I got the RS232 link software working. The trick there was to choose XON/XOFF in my RS232 port setup in windows OS. So I can upload and download lots of channels to my Merc2 now.

Just keep in mind that as AC said it:
3.9787 translates as 3978.7 for most of the FTA receivers, it basically is:

3.9787 x 10³

PS
If you manage to input all the TP frequencies please share it =p, i'd love to have a copy of that list.

Cheers

Mike

The Fortec channel editor that I have for my Mercury 2 says it will also import SatCoDx formatted files. What I am looking for is a conversion tool from Excel CSV (comma seperated) to SatCoDx or something that I can enter data into faster than using this utility and putting transponders in one by one. Again my goal is to use some or all of the above PDF's and enter the data and download to Merc2

Is that PDF for FOX referring to an IA-6 as in the satellite Intelsat 6?  If so, where did everything move?  I know that Fox News Channel uses 99W but that's separate from Fox affiliates.

It moved from the failed IA-6 to G16 99W. I haven't found another pdf that lists their G16 frequencies, and if anyone knows where it is (and any network for that matter) we would appreciate posting them here. Lots of times the Fox affiliates buy time on G16, but in reality they can buy time almost anywhere.

Fellow Members, your posts are welcome here! Do not worry about posting everything perfect. Different receivers and LNB's will give you different Frequencies and Symbol Rates. Some set top boxes, PCI cards and USB receivers, Do Not Require all of the same information that others may need. It is not Required to post everything that others may need to tune in a feed. It is just most important to share the find. We can always adjust the Frequency and Symbol Rates and try the various Modulations and FEC's on our own receivers until we get a lock and then give a polite reply with what works for your receiver, as that information might help others as well. We all appreciate the efforts and energy of the Posters!
