Been having a problem for some time with my Azbox Ultra when watching dolby e feeds particularly CBS where the picture is great for the first couple minutes and then it atarts to freeze progressively getting worse until the picture stops for 30 seconds at a time. I believe these feeds are all 4:2:2 S2/8psk. If I change the channel and go back to the dolby e feed it starts over again, the picture is good for a couple minutes and the freezing begins again. The signal and quality are well into the 80's. I've tried a couple different firmwares including 5020, 5308, 5309, and now I'm running 5402. Anyone run into this or have any suggestions?

The transponders with 2 channels usually have regular audio channels in addition to the dolby-e, and they aren't a problem.  I think he's talking about the transponders that only have 1 channel, and  only have dolby-e.  Those are a problem.

One thing that might help, but I don't think it solves the problem is to create a manual channel with a fake audio channel.  I wasn't sure whether to use a fake PCR or not.  I tried it once with my elite a couple years ago.  I can't remember for sure, but I think it made things a bit better, but didn't cure the problem, but there might be some combination of fake audio/fake PCR that might work.

Fellow Members, your posts are welcome here! Do not worry about posting everything perfect. Different receivers and LNB's will give you different Frequencies and Symbol Rates. Some set top boxes, PCI cards and USB receivers, Do Not Require all of the same information that others may need. It is not Required to post everything that others may need to tune in a feed. It is just most important to share the find. We can always adjust the Frequency and Symbol Rates and try the various Modulations and FEC's on our own receivers until we get a lock and then give a polite reply with what works for your receiver, as that information might help others as well. We all appreciate the efforts and energy of the Posters!
