A couple things you might try:
Have you tried to turn on with the remote?
The AZ-Me has a rocker power switch on the back, not sure about the Prem+
Are you sure the power outlet has power?

Just trying to rule out the obvious...

Chip,

Sorry to hear about this issue.

The most common problem we had with the Premium Plus units is the external Power Supply Brick.  So we take all of the originals and have the parts that have failed in the past and upgrade it with better components and for the most part, we eliminated the problem.  But it is possible that something still may of gone wrong with Power Supply.

The Power Supply has a small LED light on it on the side that has all of the dimples.  Check to see if it is lit.  If it is not, then it is either the power supply or the power cord that goes from the wall outlet to the supply.

Let me know what you find out and if it is the Power Supply, I will get a new one on the way to you directly.

Thanks,

Rick

The voltage from the power supply is correct.

If you are comfortable with taking the top of the receiver, then take it off and check the connections from the power input at the back of the receiver and see if they are connected good.  I would even disconnect and reconnect them.  Also check the other Ribbon plugs and make sure they are still connected good.  Then try powering it back up.

If still nothing, then I'll send you a return shipping label and get this taken care of.

Rick

Thanks Rick..Electronics is my Hobby. I would have fixed the power supply if it was bad..I just didn't want to tear into it because I didn't know if it had any kinda warranty. Since you told me to explore, I will look on the inside of the AZBOX and see if it is anything obvious....I let you know..

OK. I opened the box, looked all around, took the little satellite board out for the power input and looked it over...All ok. So I put it all back together and checked for VDC all around with my DMM and discovered that there wasn't any 12VDC coming OUT of the rocker switch. I took a small piece of buss wire and jumpered between the 12VDC OUT and the 12VDC IN and it came to life..The switch is bad...I can fix it Rick....THX!

Chip,

Nice work.  If you are comfortable with fixing, then that is fine.  I can send you a new Rocker Panel switch if you want.  You will still have your full warranty as well.

Thanks,

Rick

I took the rocker switch out and dis-assembled it. It is pretty cheap-o but I was able to diagnose the problem and correct it..I don't know how long it will last but, it's up and running..Thanks again..

If I have anymore trouble with it Rick, I'll ask you to send one..Until then, I'm good...

Not sure exactly what you mean here about the voltage but, the power supplies are not top notch for these things. There were problems with them in the past and components were upgraded. If you are not getting the voltages as shown, the problem is with the power supply itself. If you ARE getting the voltage as it is mapped out above, the problem lies elsewhere.
