CNN feed currently up:

"CRASH A320"
12076H
4608
(staging area near crash site)

Also, new frequency to me:

"D-413#1"
12094H
4608
4:2:2 video (but not h.264)
(vigil outside HS in Germany)

Unfortunately, Asonga TV has already left; I was hoping that was going to be full-time.

Both feeds are still up.

Can you see T12? It's not as far east as T12.

It's on SES-4 @ 22.0°WL; T12 is at 15.0°WL.

Both signals are either DVB or DVB-S2.

Are any of these still active. I'm going outside to swing my 1.2m over that way.

Active at 5 past 3 EDT:

11991H / 3748    (Nigeria)
12100H / 4798    (Düsseldorf)

12100H has two audio PIDs: the main PID (APID=4112) is mono/left only; you can hear the producer on the alternate PID (APID=4128). Other CNN feeds on this bird have the same set-up, when active.

Reminder: If you are using an offset dish on an AZ/EL mount, check your look angle to SES-4 at dishpointer.com first; if it's too much below* 22.5° (the offset angle of most dishes), then you will need to invert the dish on the mount first. (* most mounts allow some negative tilt beyond vertical, until the bottom lip of the dish hits the pole.) If you have a polar or H-H mount, then no problem provided the mount allows the dish to travel that far east.
(I know you're a satellite veteran BH, and already know all this; the reminder is for any relative n00bs to the hobby.)

Good luck.

Thanks! My sat meter battery died on me, then it started to rain. I'll try later on or tomorrow to swing it over.

Quick Navigation:

Fellow Members, your posts are welcome here! Do not worry about posting everything perfect. Different receivers and LNB's will give you different Frequencies and Symbol Rates. Some set top boxes, PCI cards and USB receivers, Do Not Require all of the same information that others may need. It is not Required to post everything that others may need to tune in a feed. It is just most important to share the find. We can always adjust the Frequency and Symbol Rates and try the various Modulations and FEC's on our own receivers until we get a lock and then give a polite reply with what works for your receiver, as that information might help others as well. We all appreciate the efforts and energy of the Posters!
