Big hemi mentioned a blindscan module for OpenATV in another thread. Is there such a module for Openpli 2.1.? If not then it may be time to Change to a more modern FW.

I honestly can't remember where I got the module from and I'm not at home to check my laptop. Check back in the ME threads for a download link. I'll check when I get home.

Thanks - I will do a search & see what I can find. It's a great box with a few limitations, really need blindscan to get any use out of the Me cause it is my only STB. I appreciate your help.

One of the best blind scans that I have used on the Me was OpenAtv with the 3.3.1 kernel. I beleive that the last one was dated around September of 2013. It worked pretty good especially if you have a universal lnbf.

Callisto, check this thread.  From what I gather the blindscan plugin is part of the firmware.

Thanks for the help big hemi. I want to update anyway. I am still using the 2 softwares Rick loaded when I bought the Me.
Would it be difficult to switch over and load OpenATV? Would love to try it.

No but depending on what your preference is will determine which version you could use.

The latest OpenATV version does not scan in channels without SDT, such as the CBS on 97W.  The version with kernel 3.3.1 will scan in, anything later will not.

To use the blindscan, your Ku LNB(F) needs to be Universal.

Any way to know which channels are without SDT? Also any procedure to obtain & input same?

Yes, use a PC card with a program like updateDVB. or TSReader
If ya see no SDT then there isn't one, simple as that.

Most of the CBS fronthauls (97W, 89W) have no SDT.

If you have the frequency, polarity, and SR, you can manually input them in using Dreambox Edit or Dreamset and transfer them over to the ME.

Any one willing to share a copy of the AZBOX Satellite List & channels from the  Dreambox edit program?

I would like to import same into OpenATV 5.3

Fellow Members, your posts are welcome here! Do not worry about posting everything perfect. Different receivers and LNB's will give you different Frequencies and Symbol Rates. Some set top boxes, PCI cards and USB receivers, Do Not Require all of the same information that others may need. It is not Required to post everything that others may need to tune in a feed. It is just most important to share the find. We can always adjust the Frequency and Symbol Rates and try the various Modulations and FEC's on our own receivers until we get a lock and then give a polite reply with what works for your receiver, as that information might help others as well.
