Now that my box is working again I noticed quite a few of my IPTV channels have disappeared. So did some searching and updated the http_streams file.
I've learned some things in reviewing this, for instance; the Luxe TV entry is
45,Luxe TV,512,http://94.73.253.213:8008
on a hunch I tried other numbers, i.e 8001, 8002, and so on, and found other channels.
With this in mind, the channels have been ordered by actual IP address(if I could figure it out) rather a host name - maybe this avoids dns lookup...seems a little faster.

All the channels I've found working so far are named. Channel addresses within an IP (i.e. :xx001, :xx002 - open the file with notepad you'll see what I mean) tested but not working are marked "empty?", working channels for which I could not figure out the name "unknown", and additional possible addresses -again within each IP- not yet tested are x-**(test) - there are many. I've only so much time.
Ordering them alphabetically puts all these at the end.

If you find something, please post it here.
If you've got a question about how it works check this thread:

edit: some say the Bond channel works. I'm not seeing it but included anyway.

Buffer size. What would be a good rule of thumb for this?
Does it matter?

im sure its a function of your internet speed. i have no issues with 512 at my 3mb dsl. i may try and trim it down more to see if the channels load faster.

so i drank some beers and played with my az. took the buffer size down to 8 and i noticed the following.

sat_action had a few more channels in his list.
lowering the buffer size increased channel load times and actual channel locks.
after 128 we arent gaining anything. i lowered the buffer to 8 and after 128 it only made things worse.
my line is rated to 5mbs but ive only ever sustained 3mbs speeds.

test it out.

crackt out,.

Agree with crackt about its being a function of your internet speed.
My cable provider claims downstream speeds of up to 9 Mbps, but speed tests show around 2. Could also be dependent on machine/op system as my sons newer computer/system gets 5+.
Messed with diff buffer sizes, 128 up to 1024, (but 8? ...lol) 512 seems to be work best for me. Using version 4980 and most of the channels pop up in about 10 seconds.

Looked at some of the x-**(test) channels

zb 81 CBBC
    82 CBS Reality
zc 83 BBC News (*looks like some redundancy)
zd 84 empty?
ze 85 empty?

86-90 (http://95.211.123.75) all dead now.

zi  91 ITV 1 LQ
zj  92 tve (spanish)
    93 BBC 4
zk 94 ITV 1 LQ*
zl  95 empty?

zm 96 ITV 1*
zn  97 Al Jazeera Sports (arabic)
zo  98 RT News
     99 EuroSport
   100 4Music

If anyone sees any mistakes let me know, will update the file after I've ck'd all the (test)'s.

i tested it down to a buffer size of 8. it really seems 128 is the best for me. channels zap in about 2 seconds. i still get some that dont tune tho.

Where do you adjust buffer sizes?

Thanks.

Fellow Members, your posts are welcome here! Do not worry about posting everything perfect. Different receivers and LNB's will give you different Frequencies and Symbol Rates. Some set top boxes, PCI cards and USB receivers, Do Not Require all of the same information that others may need. It is not Required to post everything that others may need to tune in a feed. It is just most important to share the find. We can always adjust the Frequency and Symbol Rates and try the various Modulations and FEC's on our own receivers until we get a lock and then give a polite reply with what works for your receiver, as that information might help others as well.
