Got it.   Is the only difference between Elite and Premium, the addition of built in WiFi and an internal SATA connector?    To use 2 drives do you plan on connecting both to an IDE cable plugged into the DOM IDE socket with one setup as master and the other as slave?   New DOM arrived today, if I have time later I will load otherwise tomorrow.

I think there are several hardware differences between Elite and Premium, but they both use the same firmware, and as was described in the 3 URLs I referenced in post #1 of this thread, apparently if you install a hard drive in addition to the DOM or whatever you have the OS on, the Elite will boot up and  ID and behave like a Premium.

Interesting that adding a second hard drive changes how the box is recognized. Wonder if i could "convert" my ultra to a premium plus. [wink]

New DOM installed and works fine.   I'll have to connect receiver to dish to determine if there is any performance difference.    Unlike the factory DOM, the new DOM is not able to pull power from the IDE socket as the external power cable is needed.  Not sure if this is related to your CF not being recognized.

Fellow Members, your posts are welcome here! Do not worry about posting everything perfect. Different receivers and LNB's will give you different Frequencies and Symbol Rates. Some set top boxes, PCI cards and USB receivers, Do Not Require all of the same information that others may need. It is not Required to post everything that others may need to tune in a feed. It is just most important to share the find. We can always adjust the Frequency and Symbol Rates and try the various Modulations and FEC's on our own receivers until we get a lock and then give a polite reply with what works for your receiver, as that information might help others as well. We all appreciate the efforts and energy of the Posters!
