I have just recently acquired an Azbox Ultra HD. Upon first operation it fired up but shut right back down. I rebooted and after booting up it worked fine with the exception of locking up occasionally .

When I shut down it locked up requiring a hard reset which it would not complete. I checked internally and everything visually looks good,a few questionable solder joints which I re heated. The 3V lithium battery was down to just about a volt. I replaced that. I disassembled the power supply and found nothing obvious except the 24 volt source is reading 22.4 volts and the 12 Volts supply is right on a 12.8. Both measurement are unloaded measured with a Fluke 87

From those who may have measured this before,is that 24 volt source a little low?

Other than a few PCB joints that looked a little questionable the inside of the box looks clean and not tinkered with.

Just checking for a few ideas since this is my first AZ and since I have wanted one for a long time I'd like to make sure everything is OK

Thanks in advance

Wayne

Fellow Members, your posts are welcome here! Do not worry about posting everything perfect. Different receivers and LNB's will give you different Frequencies and Symbol Rates. Some set top boxes, PCI cards and USB receivers, Do Not Require all of the same information that others may need. It is not Required to post everything that others may need to tune in a feed. It is just most important to share the find. We can always adjust the Frequency and Symbol Rates and try the various Modulations and FEC's on our own receivers until we get a lock and then give a polite reply with what works for your receiver, as that information might help others as well. We all appreciate the efforts and energy of the Posters!
