Okay, but gimme a hint [smile]
Was it you who added the following lines to femon?

Code:
// begin hack //

if (human_readable) {
printf ("status %c%c%c%c%c | signal %3u%% | snr %.1f dB | ber %d | unc %d | ",
fe_info.signal ? 'S' : ' ',
fe_info.carrier ? 'C' : ' ',
fe_info.viterbi ? 'V' : ' ',
fe_info.sync ? 'Y' : ' ',
fe_info.lock ? 'L' : ' ',
(fe_info.signal_strength * 100) / 0xffff,
(float)fe_info.snr/10 ,
fe_info.ber,
fe_info.ucblocks);
} else {
printf ("status %c%c%c%c%c | signal %3u%% | snr %.1f dB | ber %d | unc %d | ",
fe_info.signal ? 'S' : ' ',
fe_info.carrier ? 'C' : ' ',
fe_info.viterbi ? 'V' : ' ',
fe_info.sync ? 'Y' : ' ',
fe_info.lock ? 'L' : ' ',
(fe_info.signal_strength * 100) / 0xffff,
(float)fe_info.snr / 256 / 10,
fe_info.ber,
fe_info.ucblocks);
}
// end hack //

read the source and read the diff between changes...
Or.. just checkout the original version from v4l, or your package manager without any changes and call it a day...

So, these signal and snr values should be human readable? [biggrin]
I think hex values were better.

It's the same weird values i got with Crazycat tune-s2 in post #28 [crazy]
At least i learnt something, i can change hex values to human readable and vise versa.

yeah, I have never owned a card that only did DVB-S. So I have no idea what you are up against
using such old hardware/drivers. I think you will just have to figure something out for yourself to get it
to behave the way you want it to. Since you are the only one using it the way you are using it.

It has been erroring out on me due to newer version of libpng on my system if you get this:

Code:
 exp-gfx.c:172:22: error: ‘Z_DEFAULT_COMPRESSION’ undeclared (first use in this function) D->compression = Z_DEFAULT_COMPRESSION;

In util/alevt/exp-gfx.c look for Z_DEFAULT_COMPRESSION and prepend PNG_ to it;

static int png_open(struct export *e)
{
    D->compression = PNG_Z_DEFAULT_COMPRESSION;
    return 0;
}

Should be fixed now.. Was missing an include for zlib.h, required for libpng16

Fellow Members, your posts are welcome here! Do not worry about posting everything perfect. Different receivers and LNB's will give you different Frequencies and Symbol Rates. Some set top boxes, PCI cards and USB receivers, Do Not Require all of the same information that others may need. It is not Required to post everything that others may need to tune in a feed. It is just most important to share the find. We can always adjust the Frequency and Symbol Rates and try the various Modulations and FEC's on our own receivers until we get a lock and then give a polite reply with what works for your receiver, as that information might help others as well. We all appreciate the efforts and energy of the Posters!
