My Pansat got bit in a lightning storm, and I have looked all over for a new one, does anyone know where I might get lucky and get a new or used one at??

Thanks for looking, and double thanks if you know.

Hey ksmike,

I will check with Linkbox, just to see if there is any chance they happen to have a used or new one sitting around.

Thanks,

Rick

ps - Thanks FUBAR!

Ksmike...jmo but I would check with rick on that new linkbox. All the menus are the same as the 9500 and an added bonus is the ATSC tuner.I love my 9500 also but if it went south that would be its replacement for me...

I would do the same . Replace with the new linkbox . BUT when not in use power OFF from the toggle switch to extend the life and protect the unit from power surges .

The next time my unit goes i will replace from Rick .

Thanks for the replies,

I already have a LinkBox8000 HD local.

I like it for the most part, but I don't like the disecq tuning, as it doesn't show signal strength when moving the dish. There are a couple ways around that problem, the best thing is to use it on usals, or use it on a dish mover like the Vbox so you can move the dish with the vbox control, and still see the signal strength. I don't remember who said that to me, but, Thanks it's a good idea.

I also have a pansat tc1000 that has an OTA tuner in it, I'm not using OTA yet, but I will if it is sensitive enough, I'll get back to you on that.

I don't know anything about the pansat 9200, I may consider getting one of those if I have no other choice. It's not really what I want though, so I'm not in a hurry to get one.

Right now I can get by with what I have. I'm thinking of using the Linkbox on c/ku dish, and the TC1000 on the KU dish, that will get me back in FTA mode again at least.

The Pansat 9500 is my first choice, it was easy to use, and worked equally well for C, and KU.  I don't know what happened to Pansat, that they stopped making them, but I really miss having that box. So I'm still looking to buy one or even two if I can find them.

I always look to buy from Rick when he has what I'm looking for, I've bought from him before, and he has always done me right.

I once tested the 9500, it was a solid unit but the scanning was very slow and took for ever to end. For me speed matters

Fellow Members, your posts are welcome here! Do not worry about posting everything perfect. Different receivers and LNB's will give you different Frequencies and Symbol Rates. Some set top boxes, PCI cards and USB receivers, Do Not Require all of the same information that others may need. It is not Required to post everything that others may need to tune in a feed. It is just most important to share the find. We can always adjust the Frequency and Symbol Rates and try the various Modulations and FEC's on our own receivers until we get a lock and then give a polite reply with what works for your receiver, as that information might help others as well. We all appreciate the efforts and energy of the Posters!
