I find an active IP and save the payload in TSReader. I go play the file in VLC and it sees it as an audio stream, MPEG4 audio, 2 channels at a 16k sample rate...but it's still silent....

Can someone PM me and walk me through using the DVB Viewer/Transedit to get the radio channels?  I can Skype you to make the learning process easier.

Thanks, and Merry Christmas.

I use TS reader and only know how to analyze TS files on Transedit.

Analyze the signal with Transedit. On the right pane you will see a list of PIDS...some will either say MPEG Audio or AAC Audio, according to the signal analyzed. Right click on one of those PIDS and select Preview. If you have set up the preview codecs properly in the Transedit setup menu you should hear audio. If you don't then select another...some are silent...

Anyone know how to get transedit to show the Service Name instead of the SDT Channel number when looking at the active PIDS?  I just look at the active audio pids and then play them, I don't plan on memorizing all the APIDs.  Right now I just exported the xml data and then do a ctrl-f to figure out the program name I am listening to.

Where do you place the appropriate codec(s)?

I'm using transedit.

I don't seem to be opening any new channels.

thanks,

Codecs are installed using their install programs (usually a codec comes as an exe that is installed like any other software) then the appropriate codec is selected by ...

settings-> preview tab -> AAC Decoder drop down box...your newly installed codec should then be selectable.

Nice charts (if you click on a show link). Too bad that not all breaks are hard breaks. If they were, we could probably automate recording them without commercials.

That would be cool to playback your favorite talk show from an mp3 player through your car stereo... without commercials. Seems like the commercials always end about 15 seconds before you get to your destination.

Cheers

Has anyone ever found "Sixx Sense"? It's listed on the schedule but I've never come across it on 4410V AMC8.

Thanks AC- I guess that's why I never found it.
I think the "House of Hair" is fed via FTP as well.

Fellow Members, your posts are welcome here! Do not worry about posting everything perfect. Different receivers and LNB's will give you different Frequencies and Symbol Rates. Some set top boxes, PCI cards and USB receivers, Do Not Require all of the same information that others may need. It is not Required to post everything that others may need to tune in a feed. It is just most important to share the find. We can always adjust the Frequency and Symbol Rates and try the various Modulations and FEC's on our own receivers until we get a lock and then give a polite reply with what works for your receiver, as that information might help others as well. We all appreciate the efforts and energy of the Posters!
