Arsat 1 at 72 degrees West only covers South America.
AMC 3 at 72 degrees West only has a North America footprint.
I think AMC 6 when it was at 72 degrees had both North and South American beams.
When Arsat 1 came online at 72 degrees, they no longer needed AMC 6 there, so they swapped it with AMC 3 at 67 degrees West.

Photoman, I knew you'd have an explanation.  Thanks.

Seeing yesterday and today, 2 very weak signals at 72 west.  Can't lock or get any other information about the signals.

3760 H  34280 SR
4040 H  34370 SR

It would be nice to have an active bird on 72.0°W again!

4040 H may be DVB S2 8PSK 3/4 long frame AMC Continous   here it is 12.9 db at the moment

On the vertical side I get two tps with the 4060 as 8psk while the 4100 one is APSK either 16 or 32

Bite my tongue both Vertical side signals now say APSK go figure.

The Horizonal side also has tps at 3765 3780 and 4000.

Because I can keep a lock on the 4040 tp I tried doing a record of the signal and then replaying it via Potplayer. A couple of times I got back a very short but sounds possible audio snipet. We need more and better equipment I guess.

Fellow Members, your posts are welcome here! Do not worry about posting everything perfect. Different receivers and LNB's will give you different Frequencies and Symbol Rates. Some set top boxes, PCI cards and USB receivers, Do Not Require all of the same information that others may need. It is not Required to post everything that others may need to tune in a feed. It is just most important to share the find. We can always adjust the Frequency and Symbol Rates and try the various Modulations and FEC's on our own receivers until we get a lock and then give a polite reply with what works for your receiver, as that information might help others as well. We all appreciate the efforts and energy of the Posters!
