We have lost a great mentor ( someone who teaches or gives help and advice to a less experienced ), but our loss is his gain. AC knew the Lord and has run the race of life and won. It is our everlasting life with Jesus, that we should prepare for, not this very short time on this earth.  He now is at his final destination, heaven. He will be missed and prayers for his family.

Thanks to you all for expressing sympathy and sharing your memories.  I know Barry has touched many of us with his knowledge and personality.  I am still finding it hard to accept he is gone, as his spirit was still high and he had lots of other things he still wanted to do.  I am saden for his wife Rachel and his daughter Anna and the rest of his family, as they were by his side and doing all they could be get him through this.  With that said, he had his faith and belief and was ready to meet his maker.

Please continue to share your memories here and any wishing to help Rachel with funeral expenses, please donate to the address above in post #69.

This is difficult to hear and harder to accept. I remember when Rick asked Barry to help me with some ideas on recording. Barry jumped right in and helped me as a total stranger.

So very hard for me...Barry was a great teacher and was not hesitant in any way to help me when I was trying to figure out how I wanted the switching and dish situation for my farm..

The shared wisdom in the sat world and beyond is priceless. Not 1 single time was Barry ever short or not responding to me in any question I had.....People like him are sent here for a reason but one can never figure out what our maker has in store....You will be greatly missed!!!!!.

I think it was Anony in a post here that mentioned something to the effect that Barry never got into any type of negative confrontation...Forgive me for the words but you guys get the message...I wish I was like him in that aspect.

Sure am going to miss that login of ACRadio on the bottom of the screen.

RIP Buddy.

I feel awful for Barry and his family. This is terrible news. And hockeynut, don't sell yourself short. You have helped me countless times on this forum simply by posting screen shots of settings and signal quality.

Saddened to hear this news...
And would like to express my condolences first to AC's family, and then to the many friends he has made here over the years.

I think everyone knows how difficult it can be to express their thoughts and ideas in an informal setting such as a web forum vs say in person. Both are very real but quite different talents.
The mere fact there are people thinking about his helpful posts and how he went about it, shows he is still able to teach us.

RIP AC...

I am confused by this as well. I sure didn't see it coming. My thoughts go out to his family who I am sure is grieving and confused as well. I wish them all the best, and offer my condolences. Rest in Peace AcRadio.

Our Deepest Sympathy to Rachel and the rest of Barry's family! My time spent with him although always tech related exuded kindness and a willingness to share his knowledge no matter how stupid I appeared to be. With his suffering over our grieving should be short lived and turned to thoughts of what a Great and generous human being he was to all of us!! God Bless You All, Carl DeLembo and family.

Fellow Members, your posts are welcome here! Do not worry about posting everything perfect. Different receivers and LNB's will give you different Frequencies and Symbol Rates. Some set top boxes, PCI cards and USB receivers, Do Not Require all of the same information that others may need. It is not Required to post everything that others may need to tune in a feed. It is just most important to share the find. We can always adjust the Frequency and Symbol Rates and try the various Modulations and FEC's on our own receivers until we get a lock and then give a polite reply with what works for your receiver, as that information might help others as well. We all appreciate the efforts and energy of the Posters!
