I was able to talk to Barry on the phone last night.  His spirits are still good and he wants to eat, but he still cannot keep anything down.  The doctors have run into several complications, thus the reasons for having to go back in so many times.  He is still not closed up all of the way from the most recent surgery.  He wanted to say thank you to all of you that are worried and or praying for him.  He is missing his home and satellite farm.  They actually did not have to move him back into ICU yesterday, but they did move him to a different room and in Rachel's words, yesterday was actually one of the better days for him.  So while I could tell he was still in a lot of pain and discomfort, it was good to hear him talk and to hear him say he was wanting to get well and go home.   I told him about all of you asking and giving your well wishes.

Glad to hear he is still in the fight!
With so many surgeries, now is the time for his wife to make sure that everyone who enters his room washes their hands and wears sterile gloves before touching him, or any of his things. They are usually careful, but people in a hurry can forget.

Anyone wishing to send a get well card or a Love Offering to help with expenses, here is the Hospital Address:

Mission Hospital Memorial Campus
509 Biltmore Ave
Room A501 / Barry McKinney
Asheville, NC 28801
(828) 213-1111  (Not sure if he will be able to take phone calls, but listed the number anyway)

Please note, he did not ask for donations.  I just know that both Barry and his Wife are missing a lot of work and I know there will be lots of extra bills.

Thanks,

Rick

From Barry's Daughter:

Dad made it through another surgery. They were able to close him up all the way this time. Hopefully this will expedite his healing. I have not heard anything about him being awake or how he is feeling. More updates as I get them.

Barry just called me and he just woke up from his 5th Surgery in a very short number of days.  He sounded like his old self today, which is amazing, as he had just awaken from the anesthesia.  They closed him up and hopefully for good this time, or until and if they are able to remove the ostomy bag.  Next steps are to gain strength and to be able to eat some food.

Heres to hoping he feels good enough to get on line and check out the forum:  Keep fighting Barry!  Were ready for you to get back home to Beautiful Mountains of Burnsville!

Hopefully the next step will be to get yourself healthy enough to go home.  If you're like me there ain't no place like it and that alone should should help boost your spirits, both mentally and physically.

From Barry's Daughter Anna:

Dad is having trouble keeping food down and is staying nauseous. The Dr thinks his stomach tube might be in the wrong place and not doing what it is supposed to. They will be doing an X-ray to try and find the problem.

The doctors removed the drain tube yesterday and also pulled the feeding tube up 6" as they think that will help him to be able to try and keep down solid food.

He also got up and walked from the bed to the door for the first time.  He still sounded good and in high spirits and ready to get back to his own bed and dish farm.

He also wanted to thank everyone again.

Fellow Members, your posts are welcome here! Do not worry about posting everything perfect. Different receivers and LNB's will give you different Frequencies and Symbol Rates. Some set top boxes, PCI cards and USB receivers, Do Not Require all of the same information that others may need. It is not Required to post everything that others may need to tune in a feed. It is just most important to share the find. We can always adjust the Frequency and Symbol Rates and try the various Modulations and FEC's on our own receivers until we get a lock and then give a polite reply with what works for your receiver, as that information might help others as well. We all appreciate the efforts and energy of the Posters!
