I switched out universal lnb on 90 cm Aqiza with the QPH 031 and was surprised at how many additional channels I picked up. For example;  SAT 97 was only pulling in about 160 ch, and with the qph it brought in 289 with new scan, and now I see NBC on 103 with 75Q, could not see it before.
I am not sure if this has anything to do with it but I am not having any issues with motor movement and switching h/v right now after the switch, I was before.

bkday,I had a Universal on my 90cm in Az., years ago and switched to a QPH 031 and experienced the same thing. Liked it, because it did both linear and circular.

I'm using the QPH-031 on a similar sized dish as well, and can get the NBC Mux here in Southern Ontario.

Which brand and model of universal lnb did you replace?
I was just thinking about getting a universal to see what I could see below 11700, did you ever make use of the lower band?

I had a digiwave universal lnbf... it couldnt even see some signals... I was almost pullin my hair out tweaking my KU dish... I put a linear lnbf on and had signals/ channels I didnt even know were there...

I think some universal lnbf's just dont work worth a hoot... for NA signals...

I have the digiwave universal twin. I did not really pick anything up below the 11700. Many of the low band are beamed to Europe. It did well, but when I replaced it I could not believe what I was missing. Huge improvement with the QPH 031. I get from 15W to 139. The universal did well on the Atlantic Sats, on high bands, just did not see any low bands. A 1.2m may make the difference with low band.
The QPH does wonderful at the lower sats with 15W, the MSNBC mux is at 81Q, 5 points higher than the universal.I was happy with what I was getting, but now with the QPH I get the Montana PBS and a lot more that I did not get. I get more than what the DMX 741 on the big bud does. I am at Buffalo NY just over the border on the Can side

Any one considering one of these I would highly recommend one as it does pick up the very weak signals and fringe areas of the footprints. Good S2 signals with this and the 90cm Ariza oval

Further testing today on many of the sats has brought in so many new channels. On 30w I was only seeing about 32 channels with the universal. I am now receivieng 72 channels on 30w. Some of the high band Europe beams i can see like 12172,12132 with press tv and othere. I am wondering now if the universal invacom snh universal might be strong like this one and pick up the low bands as I could not with the other universal.

Fellow Members, your posts are welcome here! Do not worry about posting everything perfect. Different receivers and LNB's will give you different Frequencies and Symbol Rates. Some set top boxes, PCI cards and USB receivers, Do Not Require all of the same information that others may need. It is not Required to post everything that others may need to tune in a feed. It is just most important to share the find. We can always adjust the Frequency and Symbol Rates and try the various Modulations and FEC's on our own receivers until we get a lock and then give a polite reply with what works for your receiver, as that information might help others as well.
