Will the azbox me in enigma allow for a second tuner through the usb? If it will or ever does I will get one. I want my genpix to go through usb. It was mentioned that e2 can do that with some receivers and computers. If this can be done then the azbox me will be the all in one receiver....or as close as it can be. that will allow it to do S, S2, 4:2:2, and turbo fec. The genpix can also tune dc2 and dss with some add ons. probably dreaming but would be nice!!!!!

E2 will work with a USB tuner, which ones will work depends on what drivers they have compiled for the kernel in the E2 distribution.  If you have the know how it's possible to compile your own custom kernel with the driver you need.

As  for tuning DCII and DSS I'm not sure if the software in E2 can do that or not. Besides DVB-S/S2 I know that DVB-T and C are supported, ATSC is not as yet. DCII and DSS I'm unfamiliar with.   I know that genpix tuners do work in Linux which is what E2 is, but I don't know if there is a difference between tuning DCII and DVB-S or not.

has anyone owning an AZME tried using a usb tuner with the e2 build? If so how were the results and is it listed as a second tuner? Thanks in advance!

vtuner works over the network. It lets you use a tuner in a PC as if it were plugged into the E2 AzMe.

Plugging a USB tuner directly into the E2 AzMe will only work if the E2 developer added kernel modules to support that. Generally they don't, but may have a few available in an add on package. You'll have to chat with the E2 developer of your E2 flavour of choice to see what they have made available as far as drivers for USB devices.

Quick Navigation:

Fellow Members, your posts are welcome here! Do not worry about posting everything perfect. Different receivers and LNB's will give you different Frequencies and Symbol Rates. Some set top boxes, PCI cards and USB receivers, Do Not Require all of the same information that others may need. It is not Required to post everything that others may need to tune in a feed. It is just most important to share the find. We can always adjust the Frequency and Symbol Rates and try the various Modulations and FEC's on our own receivers until we get a lock and then give a polite reply with what works for your receiver, as that information might help others as well. We all appreciate the efforts and energy of the Posters!
