Hi everyone!

Today I working hard for publish a first one beta version of my GUI for BLscan by Crazycat.

This one version is only for testing. Report any feedback to me for make it better.

I decided make it with installer with all files needed  (BLScan, Streamreader, and EBS). The idea with this software is make it easy for newbie users and also for experts users.

This is not finished yet. I have lots of good features in my mind for add it soon as possible.

No more to say...

Requeriments:

Windows XP, Vista, 7.

.NET Framework 1.1, 2.0, 3.0, 3.5, or 4.0.

Download:

Known issues:

- Not possible to end blscan window (the process is locked). Only way to close it is sending keys CTRL+C, but not implemented yet, I will like to find other better solution.

- Not realtime progress for the Blscan process. Only way for read DOS windows is wait for end process to read the dos output. Other way to fix this is if CrazyCat make log's with BLscan progress in real-time.

This is all.

I hope you like!

Very nice! Just a few comments...
I noticed input of C band freq range to scan is not possible, numbers entered revert to Ku frequencies. Also, using DiSEqC1.2 number positions does not seem to work with my TBS 6925 card.  I really like the ability to see the real time scanning,  if that was possible it would be great.
It would be nice to be able to select both polarities for scanning
Really nice effort Cjcr! Thanks for all your hard work

DiSEqC 1.2 for tbs6925 seems to be broken. Here with Prof7301 works fine.

About polarities, you are able to add all scan-ranges you want.

Click on Add Scan-range button with all configs you want to scan.

Thanks for comments.

Maybe I'm missing something, it looks like the freq scan range limits are 10700-12750. I need to enter 3700-4200 for C Band scanning. I try to enter those numbers manually but they revert to ku freqs. I have a Prof 7301 here but DiSEqC1.2 doesn't seem to work with it...the position numbers I use are from 30-65.
I see what you mean by adding scan ranges, that is a nice feature!

The scan ranges are the equivalent to the "scan0" and scan1" entries in the ini files. They can be edited to whatever scan range you want, but you're right in that it won't let you enter a C band frequency without reverting back to a KU frequency when the cursor leaves the box. Also I'm presuming this is just a working view of how it will work as I can't get it to start BLScan at all...

BLScan runs (for me), however you see nothing happing during the scan.  The output from BLScan doesn't show up until after the scan(s) finishes.  Cjcr noted in the know issues "Not realtime progress for the Blscan process."

In the latest test run I let it run for over an hour...no output. The GUI just said "Running"...the normal BLScan on the same satellite executes much quicker...

i downloaded this file and when i try to run it,it tells me that it needs .netframework 3.0+. i already have 3.5 running on my computer,i followed the instructions that said to turn on/off user controls and still will not load.

could it be that, it's not compatible with win 7 32bit ?

I have the same message on XP SP2 32bit. I have installed .NETFramework 2.0, 3.0 and 3.5, but can't install EBS because of strange demand to have 3.0+ installed.

Is it possible to make all-in-one-archive version of EBS without installer?

Doh! here not normal to use c-band satellites. I need some info about that.

The range for C-band is 3700 to 4200 Mhz?
config for LNB (Lof1, 2, sw) ?

I look now to your issue with diseqc 1.2 ...

Mrfingers Many thanks for the comments. I will like to read 'how is working' in realtime by the GUI with showing lot of info, like SNR, BER, etc.
Only way (and repeat) is if crazycat make 'results' log in real time (optional if possible).

ACRadio That seems to be a error cause hang of the Blscan process and EBS not detect this (not is possible).

Other idea I have, is show BLScan DOS window and not redirect output to EBS. With this you is now allowed to closed DOS window sending keys CTRL+C.

Fellow Members, your posts are welcome here! Do not worry about posting everything perfect. Different receivers and LNB's will give you different Frequencies and Symbol Rates. Some set top boxes, PCI cards and USB receivers, Do Not Require all of the same information that others may need. It is not Required to post everything that others may need to tune in a feed. It is just most important to share the find. We can always adjust the Frequency and Symbol Rates and try the various Modulations and FEC's on our own receivers until we get a lock and then give a polite reply with what works for your receiver, as that information might help others as well.
