It is not a secret here- I've sent PM to @Hockeynut, had some spare. [smile] Antenna can be found in second-hand market, if lucky not so expensive.

Not true. I've got a beast of a Thomson-Saginaw that cost me a quite a bit of $, and that thing has no limit switches, just a clutch that is supposed to disengage when it hits a hard stop. That doesn't fully work.

For sure, that was an exception from the rule.

I have this PM long time already and it was in bad shape when I got it. I digged up the box today and discovered how bad things are in reality IMG_20170403_125000 (Large).jpg  . All the nuts&bolts were too rusty to be re-used. Elevation adjustment bolt was rusty as well and broke apart. So, cleaned and navy-blue painted everything. Made new elevation bolt IMG_20170403_171541 (Large).jpg  . Collected needed INOX nuts&bolts. Paint is still little bit wet, so will assemble the mount tomorrow IMG_20170403_201554 (Large).jpg  . 1m Channel Master antenna will go on this mount.

Mount is in one piece and antenna is on it. Only need now to make some support in the yard to install antenna there. IMG_20170404_085452 (Large).jpg IMG_20170404_102859 (Large).jpg IMG_20170404_103000 (Large).jpg IMG_20170404_102913 (Large).jpg

I like the new color choices. However I am reminded of my youth when a few years older than me guy was talking about all the chromed parts he was putting onto his rebuilt motor for his 58 two door hard top Ford. Finally his father asked the question---"Are you gonna just look at or will you ever drive it". I have the same though after the repair work and the fresh colors will "any video" ever get watched from this dish? Now the reason for just such a question is because here my neighbors ask all the time---why do I need so many sat dishes in my yard? All I can tell them is guys need stuff. They have a wife and several kids but I never ask them why? My stuff "is" my family. Thus I "feed" my kids, aka sat dishes all the time. And I listen and watch what my kids are doing all the time.

Thanks guys! Of course I removed rust as good as I could. Used metal brushes and also special liquid which neutralizes the rust. Of course, it is not perfect (nothing and nobody is perfect [biggrin] ). Sand-blast would be better, but I do not have one.
Made the holder for antenna. It is 48x2mm pipe, where on the end of it I added another piece of pipe for strength. Then made adjustable holder with 75mm pipe on top. So, antenna is in place. Some picks: IMG_20170404_121508 (Large).jpg IMG_20170404_154820 (Large).jpg IMG_20170404_132515 (Large).jpg IMG_20170404_182952 (Large).jpg IMG_20170404_184103 (Large).jpg IMG_20170404_184650 (Large).jpg IMG_20170404_184758 (Large).jpg

Thanks SS...Looks very good RimaNTSS,nice job.[thumb].This 1.2 here is working like a champ and enjoying it very much.1 project down and many more to go.[biggrin].As far as the bracket goes I really did not do much trig at all to calculate a flopping point.I made the first bracket just by taking a plate of steel with c clamps and an old actuator and tinkered around with it until i seen what would be ideal and then made the bracket you see in the pic.

Actually I made 3 of them and am sure you can figure out where the other 2 are going.[wink].

Fellow Members, your posts are welcome here! Do not worry about posting everything perfect. Different receivers and LNB's will give you different Frequencies and Symbol Rates. Some set top boxes, PCI cards and USB receivers, Do Not Require all of the same information that others may need. It is not Required to post everything that others may need to tune in a feed. It is just most important to share the find. We can always adjust the Frequency and Symbol Rates and try the various Modulations and FEC's on our own receivers until we get a lock and then give a polite reply with what works for your receiver, as that information might help others as well. We all appreciate the efforts and energy of the Posters!
